Hi, I’m Fisher!

I’m a writer, themed entertainment enthusiast, and theatre artist looking for new creative horizons in the theme park and entertainment industry.

More About Me

Theme Parks as Art

I firmly believe that themed entertainment is not simply a platform for commercial gain, but a complex art form that weaves facets of design, visual art, architecture, theatre, music, writing, engineering, culinary arts, and many more together to convey stories in a truly immersive space. That sensation, which I believe is unique to themed entertainment design, is precious and only possible through a combination of financial and artistic investment.

The true power of this medium comes from its ability to fully immerse a guest in a story, resulting in a level of active inclusion which is not always achievable through other art forms. When every observable detail has been painstakingly curated in service of telling an enthralling narrative, one that can not only be explored but shared with others, that level of immersion is what results in that indescribable feeling of wonder.

“People must be paying this kind of money and making this kind of effort for a reward that is of higher value, more rare, and of greater impact than fun. That reward is many things, among which is the sensation of transport, of being moved magically into another place or another time. It is the intensity of experience which results in permanent memories.”
